Tudor Prince Oysterdate Silver Dial Reference 7996

An Oyster with a raised Rose…

We love offering these 34mm Oysters as they are super versatile and offer great value for money, especially the Tudors. This is an interesting reference 7996 with silver dial that has an unusual applied marker at 12 o’clock that has the Tudor rose painted on it.

The quarter markers are applied batons with black enamel stripes and the remaining applied hour markers are fat horizontal rectangles with black enamel tops. The hour and minute hands have black enamel filling to match the hour markers – cool and unusual! We have fitted the watch with a tropic crystal, without a cyclops to give a more streamlined look.

The case remains in great condition all round with good thick lugs. The watch has an automatic movement as signified by the word ‘PRINCE’ on the dial, which is Tudor’s equivalent of Rolex’s ‘PERPETUAL’. This classic Oyster will come on a Bulang and Sons strap and has been fully checked by our watchmaker.
