There is something so timeless and elegantly sporty about the Air King, a watch that was introduced by Rolex in the 1940s to pay respect to the Royal Air Force pilots who took part in the Battle of Britain and that is still in the catalogue today.

The 34mm steel case is still strong with good even lugs. The blue dial is quite unusual in that it has a vertical brushed effect that’s amazing in the sunlight and crisp white text. The bracelet is a folded link Oyster bracelet reference 7835, with a clasp stamped ‘S AD 10’ and ref 357 endlinks, that is in good condition. The automatic movement has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
